A standing trend among names is getting inspiration from Mother Nature. Notable names include Briar, Hollis, Laken, Oakley, Ocean, River, Rowan, Sage, Skyler, and Sol.
While this movement has been largely in play since the 2000s, it does have historical precedence: in prior decades, gender-neutral names including Gale, Ivory, Jade, and Robin were given to children in the US at roughly equal rates across sex.
